Learning Agreement Pilots: Evaluation of the 2008-2009 extension

This research report presents the results of an evaluation of the implementation and delivery of Learning Agreement Pilots (LAP) during the extension period from April 2008 to April 2009. The LAPs were targeted at 16-17 year olds in ‘jobs without training’ (JWT) to increase access to learning options for this group and re-engage them in learning.

The Value of Basic Skills in the British Labour Market - Brief

This paper uses data from the British Cohort Study to determine the labour market value of basic skills in the current (2004) UK labour market for a cohort of adults in their thirties. It also compare this to the value of basic skills for an older cohort (from the National Child Development Study, 1958 cohort) in the mid 1990s.
